Our Committee

A committee of nine people are elected by the membership to run the club on behalf of the members. Responsibilities include but are not limited to financial, regulatory and statutory obligations; ensuring the Rink remains watertight and fit for purpose; implementing appropriate safeguarding measures for all members, and ultimately to ensure the Club produces high quality productions across all genres of theatre.

The committee is supported by dedicated group of co-opted members that manage certain aspects of the club such as social media, costume and front of house. If there’s something you think you could help the club with, please contact secretary@gadoc.gg.

Lisa Johnston BEM

CHAIR
Lisa has been a member of GADOC for over 40 years. As well as taking part in productions such as Carousel and Honk, in 2009 she began directing for the Club and then joined the committee in 2010. She was recognised for her contribution to theatre in the Queens New Years Honours list in 2018.
Alan Robin

VICE CHAIR & PR
Since joining the club in 2018, Alan has fully embraced all things GADOC. Whether it’s in the workshop, backstage at the theatre, taking photographs, designing programmes with wife Dani, sitting in Committee meetings, helping with Rink blitzes or helping with any manner of club business - he relishes the chance to help continue the club’s long tradition of putting on quality productions for supportive and appreciative Guernsey audiences.
Chloe Grand

HONORARY SECRETARY
Chloe joined GADOC in 1999 when, aged eight, she was cast in the 2000 Easter Musical Annie. Since then, she has taken part in numerous productions onstage, in the orchestra pit, on production teams and crewing. Chloe joined the GADOC committee in 2026 as Honorary Secretary and is keen to give something back to the Club that means so much to her family. She is looking forward to engaging with the membership, recognising the contributions of much-valued senior members and attracting new members to the Club.
Stuart Simon

TREASURER
A keen supporter of GADOC for many years, Stu joined the committee in 2024 as Treasurer, and brought with him a small finance team to assist comprising Jess Savident and Paul Devonshire. By day Stu works in the finance industry and brings that senior leadership experience with him to committee meetings. Stu also coaches football locally and in any spare time he gets, enjoys a round of golf occasionally.
Clare Glynn-Riley

SAFEGUARDING OFFICER
Mother of four, long time backstage chaperone, and “dance mom”, Clare has been involved with the club since 2020, and was delighted to join the Committee in June 2026 as Safeguarding Officer. With a background in teaching, and lots of experience of Safeguarding procedure and good practice through schools and churches, she is responsible for ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all the club’s children, young people, and adults. Clare has a keen interest in neurodiversity, in particular ADHD and Autism, and when she’s not on the school run, can be found researching local history, or planning her next walking tour as a Silver Accredited Guernsey Tour Guide!
Fleur Rowe

PREMISES OFFICER & PROPERTIES MANAGER
Fleur is the Properties Manager and Premises Officer for GADOC having been involved with the club since 1993 both on and off the stage but is now found on the dark side wielding a glue gun. More recently she has crazily combined the roles of props with stage manager. Fleur has been on committee since 2023 and is active with maintaining the club’s greatest asset, the Rink.
Arun Dowinton

TECH OFFICER
Arun is a proud member of GADOC and delighted to have supported the club for two years as a co-opted Technical Officer. Since officially joining the committee in 2025, he is excited to contribute more broadly to the club’s operations while continuing in his role as Technical Officer. He has also been commandeered by Fleur Rowe to lend his skills to the facilities management of the Rink. Arun has been involved in theatre and the performing arts since the age of three. After moving “over to the dark side” in 2014, he has become a familiar sight in technical theatre—often found up a ladder rigging lights, or behind a sound and lighting desk, dressed head-to-toe in black.
Ethan Hitchon

MEMBERSHIP SECRETARY & PRODUCTION LIAISON OFFICER
Ethan has been a member of GADOC since 2012, treading the boards as well as directing for the club. In June 2026, he became a member of the Committee as the Membership Secretary & Production Liaison Officer and plans to use his organisation skills to maintain the club’s ever growing membership records and support the club’s various productions as intermediary with the Committee. He also volunteers as the Co-Section Coordinator for Eisteddfod Guernsey’s Speech and Drama Section.
Nicole Bromley

COMMUNICATIONS OFFICER
Nicole joined as Communications Officer in June 2026. She is responsible for producing newsletters, supporting member communications, maintaining the mailing database and assisting the PR Officer. A lifelong theatre enthusiast, Nicole was a member of GADOC after graduating from university before returning to the stage in 2023 after a long hiatus. She also volunteers as Marketing & PR Officer for Eisteddfod Guernsey.
